Full Description
Remains of a limekiln. The remains were recorded during a walkover survey that was carried out by Highland Archaeology Services in 2015 prior to the proposed constructed of a power generation scheme. It is a substantial drystone-built kiln dug into the bank of a burn with a large opening for the fire on the burn side and large bowl on the inside. The structure istands up to 2m high on the burn side and level with the top of the bank on the other. Large lintel stones form the top of the fire area.
