Full Description

Remains of a small rectangular building of rubble construction, possibly a shepherd's hut or bothy. It measures 4.5m by 3.5m, with an entrance on the south side. Recorded during field visit by G Logan in October 2021. The back wall is built into the hillside, its exposed upper courses indicating a possible position for a horizontal beam to support a roof. Higher gable ends indicate a pitched roof rather than this being an animal pen, although that cannot be ruled out as later usage. The interior walling showed no sign of fire.
