Full Description
Remains of a shieling-type hut and enclosure recorded by G Logan in 2014. The enclosure measures 14.7m by 22.06m, the wall structure clearer on the west, and with a possible entrance on the northeast corner. The hut measures 5.4m by 9.2m externally, 1.8m by 5.3m internally. Further field examination by G Logan in 2021 showed this to be a hut circle repurposed and extended to be part of a later shieling, possibly to serve as an enclosure or fold. The enclosure was measured as 22.06m by 17.7m, and is higher with a clearer wall structure in the west long side than the east.
