Full Description

Remains of a small shieling hut recorded during walkover survey by Highland Archaeological Services in October 2021 ahead of proposed peatland restoration (NO08SE0016). It is located within a possible larger and earlier rectangular structure. Both are of drystone construction. The shieling measured 3.5 m by 3 m, the outer structure 3.5 m by 7 m.
