Full Description
Remains of a farmstead, depicted on historic OS maps. On the 1st edition OS map it is shown as a compact U-shaped steading with the court open to the east and a horsemill attached to the south range. To the south is a smaller building. By the 2nd edition OS map the horsemill has been removed. The farmstead is visible as partially derelict on vertical aerial photographs taken in 1978. Current OS maps show the steading remains mostly unroofed. A Level 1 Standing Building Survey was carried out by MAS in October 2017 prior to proposed demolition. The buildings were recorded as being fairly typical of a farmstead of this size, although the farmhouse has some unusual features that are more urban in style and are more elaborate that would be usual in a farm of this size.
