Full Description

Dovecot, dating from circa 1800, which takes the form of a 2-stage octagon with a parapet on the corbel course. Constructed of coursed heathen stone with granite in and out voussoirs at angles. It has a simple square-headed doorway with a circular panel over, and a brick interior. The dovecote was used as an Ordnance Survey trigonometrical survey intersected station (sighting point).
