Full Description

Remains of the old parish church, successor to the Church of St Combs (NK06SE0001), and associated graveyard. It comprises of a small portion of the wall bearing the date 1607. It has been partly rebuilt to accommodate a memorial plaque to the Abernethys. The burial ground is still in use. The churchyard dates to the 18th Century and has rusticated gatepiers with ball finials incorporating coat-of-arms. There is a good collection of 18th Century monuments within the churchyard, including the Cruden monument of 1733. Also known as Lonmay graveyard.
