Full Description

Remains of a former farmstead, depicted on the historic OS maps, now partially in use for a telecommunications mast. The 1st edition map shows a rectangular steading with an unroofed horse-mill adjacent to the east elevation, a rectangular farmhouse with garden enclosure to the southwest, a rectangular range to the northwest and a well to the northwest. By the time of the 2nd edition map the steading ranges have been joined to form an L-plan. On the current edition OS map only the remains of the original northwest range are shown, adjacent to the modern telecommunications mast building. In 2021 the steading building was observed as roofless, with later brick-built stalls, and concrete floors.
