Full Description
Site of a seaplane base, which opened 1916. It was the base of 400 Flight of 249 Squadron in 1918. A small hutted camp including a hangar and jetty were built. Flying probably ceased in 1919 when 249 Squadron disbanded. Part of a mooring remains in the loch and a slipway on the south-west edge of the loch.
