Full Description

Remains of two World War II pill-boxes, which form part of a line of coastal defence pillboxes protecting the approach to Rattray Airfield. At least seven still survive, spaced along the edge of a low escarpment. The pillbox at Rattray Castle has the remains of a support trench leading away from the entrance.
