Full Description

Square dovecot stands to the east of Pitlurg House. It is early 19th Century, single-chambered with pink granite walls and a single string course. The roof is conical and slated. Notable for its height and spare, square plan, it rises to a row of flight holes just above an improbably elevated rat course and is crowned by a ball finial. Reslated in the 19th century, and restored 1981.

Period Notes
Built mid-18thC; re-slated 19thC; restored 1981.
