Full Description
Small stone building, measuring 2 m x 3 m and standing 4 m high, with a curved concrete roof. Recorded in 2022 during SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. Constructed of mortared ashlar granite blocks with cherry cocking detail. There is a small window on the east elevation, and a wooden doorway, with granite threshold on west elevation. A small hole with wiring still in it is visible on the south (seaward) wall. A ceramic drain also exits from the foundation level on the west side. The foundations of the building are visible. Inside there is a suspended timber floor. The walls are covered with a concrete render and there is evidence of shelving. The building does not appear on historic OS maps and its purpose is unknown.
