Full Description

Anti-tank blocks from World War II, not in original position. They have been collected from the beach and used to hold up a bank of the golf course. Site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey noted numerous concrete anti tank blocks used as revetments along this section of golf course (NK0813634842). These are buried beneath the dunes and visible due to a hollow which has formed between the dunes and the beach sand. Wooden revetments are also noted along this stretch. Defence of Scotland project also noted anti-glider traps along the coast at Cruden.
