Full Description

Pill-box, dating from World War II, covering the beach. It is a type 24 pill-box, six-sided, with seven loop-holes. There are two further loop-holes to the rear on either side of the door. Recorded by Defence of Scotland project: it is often buried by sand but sometimes exposed. Site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey noted that the foundations are being undercut by wave action.
