Full Description
Farmstead, still in use, depicted on historic OS maps. They show a U-plan steading with a rectangular building along the south side of the court, another rectangular building extending south from its east end. A T-plan house stands to the southwest. West of the steading is a triangular pond. There have since been considerable alterations. Much of the north wing of the steading appears to have been removed, the east and west wings incorporated into (or replaced by) later larger structures. The pond has been infilled and a building now stands on the site. A building survey of three small conjoined buildings to the southeast of the main steading was carried out in 2015 prior to proposed demolition. The eastern two appear to be part of the original 19th century farmstead: the easternmost may originally have been used for livestock, later converted for use as a farmworker's dwelling. The westernmost building is a fairly modern poultry house.
