Full Description
Anti-tank blocks from World War II. Site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey recorded remains of at least 25 anti tank blocks running from the coast edge to the river mouth, in a northeast-southwest alignment. The anti tank blocks are circa 1 m square, made of poured concrete and topped with beach cobbles and angular rocks. The block located closest to coast edge is a larger road block measuring circa 1.5 m square. Some of the blocks are toppled and buried in sand.
