Full Description

A line of World War II anti-tank blocks along Foveran links as part of anti-invasion defences which originally ran to the mouth of the River Don. A number of decorated cubes are recorded along this length, including one signed by Loius Lawson 1940, bearing the legend 'Hitler's Graveyard'. Remains of World War II anti-tank blocks, measuring on average 0.7m x 1.1m x 1.06m. recorded at NK0057623715. Defence of Scotland Project recorded this as a double row of circa 100 blocks between NK00532368 and NK00032348. Few were evident during site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey.
