Full Description
Remains of a gunpowder store, dating from the late 19th century. Built to store explosives to be used for the construction of the harbour at Collieston. Explosives were lowered down the cliff and transported by boat to the harbour, construction of which commenced in 1894. Site visit in 2022 as part of the SCAPE Coastal Zone Assessment Survey noted that this is a small concrete store, tilted forwards in a northerly direction.
