Full Description

Former industrial building, now disused, built in the late 19th century. It is first shown on the 2nd edition OS map as a rectangular building. Current OS maps show it has since been altered and extended. A Level 2 Standing Building Survey was carried out in 2017 by Cameron Archaeology prior to proposed demolition (see also NJ96NE0023). It was recorded as a stone rubble building that has been altered using concrete blocked in the east wall. The original building may have been single-storey, but it has been heightened with metal panelling and asbestos concrete roofing. The stone wall of the building adjacent to the north (NJ96NE0066) can be seen on the interior.
