Full Description
Stable block of Brucklay to the northeast of the castle (NJ95SW0010). It was probably designed by John Smith circa 1820. It is a quadrangular block with central court built on the Gothick style. It has a low 2-storey west front with a squat centre tower with pyramid-roof. There are three windows on each side. It is built of squared granite with cherry cocking on the west and south range, the remainder being of rubble. There are corner bays with blocking courses with circles over shallow buttresses. To the immediate east of the stable block are circa 1800 kennels (NJ95SW0095).
