Full Description

Site of Bronze Age cist found by Mr Strachan at a depth of 0.91m in 1951, whilst making a drain through the farm courtyard on 8th May 1951. There were three large capstones each 0.76m wide. It contained a beaker (N4), skull and some bone fragments. The cist was removed to the Botanical Gardens of Aberdeen University, and the beaker is now in Marischal College Museum (Accession no. 19744).
