Full Description

Cross-inscribed stone, of reddish granite, built into Ellon Parish Church (NJ93SE0002), located on the right-hand side of the north-east window just above the window sill. It measures 76.2 cm in length, 30.5 cm in breadth and 20.3 cm thick up to the woodwork of the window. It has been trimmed to fit its position, destroying part of the design. It seems to be a portion of a cross, the arms of which were themselves crosslets. It is now in the middle of the east wall and partly obscured by recent plaster work.
