Full Description

Remains of mansion house, built in the 18th century. The original house dates from 1788, 2-storey, 3-window, and was absorbed into Greek revival mansion designed by Archibald Simpson 1826. It was damaged by fire in 1939 and the main house is now roofless, with only the office wing intact, partly altered. Main block west front is 3-window wide with single storey tetra-style unfluted Doric portico with pediment. The south front is 3-window bow, the east front-window, with cornice and blocking course. Period Notes
Originally 1788, rebuilt 1826, burned down 1950s although previous notes state 'burnt 1939'. Listed 16/04/1971.
