Remains of a possible cairn recorded by survey 2006. Approximately 10m north of a prehistoric flint scatter is the remains of what appears to be a cairn eroding from a deflation depression in the centre of an active dune system. It is constructed of rounded pebbles. Only the western and southernmost areas of the cairn were visible, its full size estimated to be circa 6 m in diameter and 2 m in height. A second visit in 2007 noted that the cairn is sited on a raised beach deposit. A walkover survey carried out by Headland Archaeology in 2009 recorded the structure as circa 8 m in diameter, of well rounded stones, although it appeared to be only a single layer of stones on a slightly domed sandy surface. This was confirmed by trial trenching evaluation was carried out by Headland Archaeology in October 2009. A likely interpretation is that it represents a recent folly created during recreational use of the area.
