Full Description
A Second World War 5-sided pillbox, measuring 4.9m x 6m. It has brick walls and a concrete roof. The pillbox and a line of anti-tank blocks are visible on 1949 RAF vertical air photographs, the blocks running from the pillbox northeastwards along the beach. Neither pillbox or blocks were noted by RCAHMS site visit in 1996. The blocks, partly buried in sand, were recorded by survey by AOC Archaeology in 2006, although the pillbox was not then visible and may have been covered by sand. The blocks were part of a line which extended from Foveran Links to Blackdog links.
