Full Description

Farmstead, still in use, depicted on the OS 1st edition 1867 map as a C-shaped steading with an L-plan extension to the west, and three other rectangular buildings. On the OS 2nd edition 1888 maps the westernmost rectangular building had been removed, and some alterations made to the steading. Further additions have since been made to the steading. A building survey of the steading was carried out in 2016 ahead of proposed demolition. Structural and functional changes in the 20th century have obscured much of the original detail, but this is an interesting example of an early 19th century steading with later 19th century grain store, of a prosperous 19th century farm.
