Remains of a stone bank exposed in deflation area immediately behind foredune. It protrudes from a small stabilising dune escarpment just above the winter water table, some stonework in escarpment to south of the exposure. Also four parallel pebble groups to the east, circa 3m long and 30cm apart. The absence of flint is marked. The bank runs north-south roughly parallel to coastline. An Old Land Surface visible in the area adjacent to stones to the east and west is probably associated. The bank was located during a survey by AOC Archaeology Group in 2006 in close proximity to a flint scatter. Also identified through aerial photography, the stone bank is at an altitude of about 5m OD. It measures about 1.5m in thickness, is exposed over a length of 8m. An archaeological walkover survey was carried out by Headland Archaeology in June 2009 ahead of proposed golf course development over a rectangular area. A single struck flint was found in a deflation hollow. The survey did not relocate the stone bank during this survey.
