Farmhouse built circa 1780-1800, and remains of farmstead. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a narrow U-plan steading with a T-plan farmhouse to the south-west. On the 2nd edition OS map the entrance to the steading has been covered, forming a quadrangular-plan steading. Current OS maps show further alterations to the steading, including the court being covered. The farmhouse is a tall 2-storey building and basement, with a very high piend roof and two coped chimneys. Constructed of cherry cocked granite ashlar. The south front is 3-window with 2-light centre windows on each floor and gables 1-window, partly blinded. The north wall is 2-window and centre square-piend-roofed stair projection, 3-storey and basement with single doorway in re-entrant angle. Basement openings checked for shutters. Interior said to have been fire damaged early 20th century but appears unaltered, with late 18th century joinery throughout, severely plain. Unusual type of house which shows an unusual security-consciousness for its date. Photographic recording was carried out in 2020 ahead of conversion.
