Full Description
Hut circle. This is one of at least two hut-circles surviving in Clerkhill Wood. This circular low earth and stone bank is the remains of a prehistoric building. It measures circa 10m in diameter within a stony bank up to 4m thick and 0,6m high. A circa 2m gap in the south-southeast arc may have been an entrance. There is also an area of rig and furrow surviving in these woods.
