Full Description
Memorial garden and font. In Stoneyhill Wood there is a clearing with a memorial consisting of a font 80cm high surrounded by six stones. Each stone is inscribed with the name and dates of death of members of the Paton family. The oldest stone commemorates Mary Lance, the wife of John Paton, who died in 1798. The font is said as having come from St Machar's Cathedral, Old Aberdeen.
