Full Description

Remains of chapel. The Bishop of Aberdeen's oratory dedicated to the Virgin Mary stood at the South side of the Bishop's manor with its entrance in the North and was apparently a round-ended structure. The land is now a peninsula but was originally an island in 'Bishop's Loch' or 'Loch Goil', and was in use before 1267. There are also foundations, marked by stone and turf bank, of a small building 1 m wide by 0.8 m high, at low water.
