Full Description
War memorial for Major James Meston Reid, Royal Engineers, who died in the First World War. After being invalided home from Salonika, Major Red volunteered for Archangel on the Russian Front but died of pneumonia on 6 November 1918. The memorial is a simple stone, shrine like structure with a drinking fountain at its base and a plaque on the rear wall.
