Full Description
War memorial, located at the junction of Balgownie Road and the A92, and also known as Bridge of Don War Memorial or Oldmachar War Memorial. It takes the form of a pillar set on a base and plinth, and surmounted by a veiled urn, with a drinking fountain with lion's head spout attached to the base. It commemorates residents of the parish of Balgownie killed or missing in the First and Second World Wars, and the Korean War. It was unveiled in May 1920.
