Full Description
March stone inscribed 'CR', the letters standing for City Royalty. This is an inner march stone, one of a series of stones which delineate the old boundary of an inner zone of crofts which used to encircle the old medieval Royal Burgh of Aberdeen. The stone itself is of 19th century date and is only one of a handful of these stones which remain today.
