Full Description
Well depicted on the OS 1st edition map but not on the 2nd edition. The name was derived from a large rookery (known as Corbie Heugh) among the trees on the banks of the Denburn near the site of the well. It was restored in 1856, and rebuilt in a different form on its present site (a short distance from its original location) when Union Terrace Gardens were laid out in 1877.
