Full Description
Boundary stone of Aberdeen inner marches, at the edge of the grass verge on the southwest side of Upper Denburn. It is rectangular in section, measuring 0.31m by 0.15m and stands 0.38m high. The top of the northeast face is bevelled and incised with the letters 'CR' standing for 'City Royalty'. In the 19th century, the Inner Marches between Hardgate and Spital were defined at intervals by wall marks 'CR'. On the OS 1st edition a boundary stone is depicted a short distance to the southeast at circa NJ 93358 06355.
