Full Description
Boundary (March) stone of the inner marches of the Freedom Lands of Aberdeen, set into the southwest corner of Holburn Central Parish Church (NJ90SW0255). In the 19th century the Inner Marches between Hardgate and Spital were defined at intervals by wall marks 'CR'. This 19th century marker comprises a small dressed block, set into the wall 1.3m above street level, and bears the incised letters 'CR' which stand for 'City Royalty'. Depicted on the OS 1st edition map.
