Full Description
War memorial commemorating dock labourers who lost their lives during the First and Second World Wars. Set on the pavement against a wall, this granite memorial comprises a tablet with a carved anchor above and the names of those killed in World War I set in three columns in black lettering,. Below is a second tablet with the names of those killed in World War II. The inscription states 1914-1919 / THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVER IN MEMORY OF DOCK LABOURERS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR KING AND COUNTRY / 1939-1945.
