Full Description
Dock and quay constructed 1909-1915. The Dock is shown on the OS 25in surveyed 1923, with Maitland's Quays to east and west (see NJ90NE0157). DBA and walkover survey was carried out by HAS in April 2008 ahead of proposed redevelopment of the River Dee Dock and environs. The dock includes integrated structural elements of the Maitland's and Mearns Quays, including the Cross Berth. On the OS 1st edition map the area is occupied by Torry village (NJ90NE0201). Photographic recording of structures on the east side of the quay were carried out by HAS in 2010 ahead of harbour developments. Features recorded of 20th century date included cranes.
