Full Description
Mill complex, buildings still in use. The existing 18th Century mill at Nethermill overlies an earlier, more elaborate mill structure. It is represented by a carefully constucted culvert or 'flume' 0.91m wide by 0.76m deep, having a cobbled floor and capped by large flag stones. Traces of wall foundation and floor cobbling relating to the culvert have been observed although stone robbing, presumably for use in the later structure, has been thorough.
