Full Description
Farmstead, still in use, and manor. In 1721 Northfield was the seat of Keith of Northfield. Part of the manor house, which was described as 'a structure of no particular note', is believed to be incorporated within the existing farmhouse. The steading dates from the 18th or 19th century but incorporates the remains of a 12th century church, with transverse arches carrying the stump of a central tower on which a circular cone of a windmill tower was subsequently erected in the late 17th or early 18th century (NJ86NW0013) .
