Pier, of 19th century date, is an L-plan arm projecting into sea probably incorporating 18th century material. It is of rubble, with some concrete dressings. See also NJ86NW0092 (Crovie village).
Period Notes
Village established 18thC; harbour/pier late 19th/20thC; great storm of 1953 drove many to move to Gardenstown.
