Full Description
Village of Pennan, comprising a row of traditional fisherman's houses, built in the 18th - 19th Century. The houses are one and two-storey buildings, and the majority are gable end to the sea. A number of houses and stores stood on the seaward side of the street. These were destroyed in a storm earlier this century. Only one or two sheds now remain on the seaward side of the road. The whole village is listed as a B group listing in Buildings of Architectural or Historic Interest. It is a picturesque setting at the foot of a cliff approached by a steep winding road.
