Full Description

Remains of a turf-covered cairn surrounded and contained by a modern drystone wall. The cairn measures circa 20 m in diameter and circa 1.5 m high. It has been mutilated by excavation in the eastern segment and has also suffered in the past from having rubbish dumped on it. Human remains were reportedly found in the cairn sometime prior to 1870, although further human burials may still survive within it.
