Full Description

Coach house and stables, probably built by Archibald Simpson in 1822 (in its present form) to the south of Haddo House (MAB22622). On the 1st edition OS map the two buildings are depicted running parallel with each other. By the time of the 2nd edition OS map, the buildings had been joined to form a quadrangle, with a pump depicted to the west.

The southwest range is a two-storey, U-plan building with an eight-window frontage with a flat centre arch. The advanced ends have two tall lintelled coach house openings each. It is constructed of pinned split boulder rubble with granite dressings, margins, and a broad-eaved piend roof.
