Full Description

Former corn mill, and farmstead, dating from the early 19th century. Depicted on the OS 1st edition map which shows a complex of at least eight buildings, including a U-plan steading. There had been a number of alterations and additions by the time of the 2nd edition map, including removal of the U-plan range. The mill is a two-storey rubble building on an L-plan with a wooden extension. The kiln was at the end of one arm. It has a long narrow millpond to the south west with a lade leading from the Raxton Burn. Most of the buildings still exist with a few later additions.
