Full Description

Farmstead still in use. The OS 1st edition 1867 map shows a U-plan steading, with a T-plan building on the east side of the steading court, and a rectangular building to the south. Significant alterations 'or replacement' had taken place by the time of the 2nd edition, map which shows only an L-plan building with attached horsemill on the west side, and a rectangular building with an attached enclosure. These buildings remain in use and new ones have been added to north and west. A building survey was carried out by Cameron Archaeology in February 2016. The buildings are all 19th century in date and mostly built in one phase with minor additions.
