Full Description
Stones. A fortuitous near-circular arrangement of large stones circa 7 - 8 m in diameter, not thought to be archaeological, recorded during a walkover survey by Mercer and Ralston in 1989 prior to a proposed extension of Bellmuir Quarry (NJ83NE0181). A desk based assessment carried out by Rathmell Archaeology in 2016 ahead of proposed development of Bellmuir Quarry and subsequent field observation noted the site (S42) as present but did not record any further details, with the site located outwith the proposed development area.
