Full Description

Farmstead, now in residential use, with a B-listed farmhouse built in circa 1800. It is shown on the 1st edition OS map as a U-plan steading that has a range with attached horsemill extending to the north, a pond to the north-east and an L-plan farmhouse to the east that has a Z-plan range to the west and a garden enclosure. On the 2nd edition OS map an L-plan range has been added to the west of the steading, extending to replace the horsemill. There are alterations to the range to the west of the farmhouse, and a rectangular-plan building and enclosure added to the east. Current OS maps show the steading has been mostly removed, with the remaining elements converted for residential use. The pond has been infilled, there are alterations and additions to the farmhouse, and much of the buildings to the west of the farmhouse have been replaced. The farmhouse itself is a two-storey, three-window harled house with a slated roof and modern wooden porch.
