Full Description

Former manse, still in residential use, built in 1844 by James Henderson. It is shown on the 1st and 2nd edition OS maps as a T-plan building with a rectangular building to the north and a garden enclosure to the south, and is depicted as a Free Church Manse. Current OS maps show additions to the former manse, and the building to the north has been extended to L-plan and is now named Westwood Cottage. The former manse is a harled generous cottage-style, single-storey and attic building. An L-plan front has a round-arched doorpiece with a stepped hoodmould. A photographic survey was carried out in 2018 prior to proposed alterations.
